Paulette Began Dancing at Age 4 & Hasn’t Stopped Since

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Paulette’s passion for dance led her to study Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Gymnastics. She attended The Ohio State University, earning a bachelor of fine arts degree in dance. She is classically trained in both ballet and modern dance.

Her professional career began in Las Vegas. She performed in City Lites at the Flamingo Hilton as a dancer and ice dancer and as a featured dancer in world-famous Siegfried & Roy’s Beyond Belief, hailed as one of the most spectacular productions in Las Vegas.

She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a dancing and acting career. She won a part as a dancer in the 1989 film Great Balls of Fire, starring Dennis Quaid and Wynona Ryder. During this time, she also partnered with dancer Felix Chavez, an expert in the Tango Argentino and lecturer at the National Dance Congress in Paris and the Swiss Organization of Ballroom Dancing in Zurich Switzerland. With Mr. Chavez she performed in dance productions and international dance videos; their specialty dance was the Lambada.

In 1993, Paulette returned home to Toledo to be closer to family. She began competing as a professional Latin ballroom dancer in the international Latin division, specifically in the dance styles of Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive. Over the years, she has performed in several local productions, such as A Christmas Carol with the Toledo Repertoire Theater.
